What this list consists of - is music that has inspired us the most to write and record what we do. Attending music history classes as part of our degree - we hope that the right artists are remembered in 50 years time, not just the most publicized ones. These are the best of the best we believe.

The Apathy Eulogy - 5/5
The Apathy Eulogy reminds me of everyone I listen to that are actually professional musicians. Their structure, and technical ability is subtly proven throughout their new album - resolved to dream. Not only this, but they are generous, and polite as well. Upon being asked for a review - they offered their whole album for me to listen to.
Two voices guide you through a work that I would describe as a perfect album for a long drive. The evolution of rock and roll over the last 50 years seems to have had a profound influence on these artists - with a not so corny style of doo-wap harmonies and strong bass and drum straight rhythms.
'Summers Eyes' can be heard on their myspace, and this is clearly a song the band is trying to pitch - and so they should - it reflects the album beautifully. It's seemingly effortless transition from section to section goes unnoticed.
'but I know the sound of summer, resonating off these nickel strings, will be a sweet elixir, on the throat of him who's suffering'
I'd have t say one of my favorite things about this band - is the perfectly executed acoustic guitars, and another is the creative percussion's - some you hardly even notice, but each one compliments the piece.
This isn't their first release - so I suggest you check their previous works out as well.
Well done boys.
